Bridge Scholarship Program
Education of children is key to creating economic opportunities and sustained peace in Uganda. Families struggle to afford "school fees" for children, which can exceed $250 for primary school and $500 for secondary school. School fees covers the cost of room and board, uniform, books and supplies. Building a Bridge to Uganda tries to “bridge” that gap so that more children can go to school, remain in school and escape the cycle of poverty that plagues Uganda. The Bridge Scholarship Program is expanding to support graduates of PJPII who will be pursuing college education. Tuition, room and board for one-year is $1,500. Our mission to transform lives is fulfilled by enabling students to achieve their goals through education.
We have had children we sponsored go on to become teachers, doctors, engineers and lawyers.

Levels of Donation:

Choose to sponsor the school fees of a student in secondary school for an entire school year for $500, or half a school year for $250. School fees covers the cost of room and board, uniform, books and supplies.

Choose to sponsor the college tuition of a PJPII graduate for an entire school year for $1,500, or one semester for $750.

Payment can be made once or twice a year.

All donations will be distributed among the students in the Bridge Scholarship Program. Student recipients may differ from semester to semester, based on individuals’ needs.

Connect With Your Child:

Each year, when a group travels to Uganda, you will be able to send students in the Bridge Scholarship program a letter or small gift. When the group returns, you will receive updates from the students in the Bridge Scholars.
